Overview

Veterans Affairs (VA) wanted to provide food security assistance to veterans enrolled in the Homeless Program Office and those struggling with Substance Use Disorder. The VA aimed to expand its foodshare program access to 97% of the United States, ensuring that a vast majority of veterans had enhanced accessibility to essential food resources.

Working with DocMe360

Working alongside a dynamic team that included ArchiTECHture Solutions, Instacart and 1P Solutions, DocMe360 established a robust product management approach to improve the end-to-end management of the foodshare program’s platform features. One such feature: DocMe360 managed the successful merger of the VA’s Rideshare and Foodshare platforms into a single portal that VA providers could access with existing VA credentials.

Early results

Through platform enhancements and collaborative partnerships, the team helped the VA provide nearly 1,500 veterans and 700 children with 8,500 meal deliveries – the equivalent of more than 35,000 days of nutritious foods.
